OMG Greinke wins the CY YOUNG!!

Yeah...we tend to agree, and so does everyone else, pretty much by a landslide!!
I am way happy for Mr. Greinke...so, with that said, enjoy some images and a link to the story of his hot girlfriend, HERE.

I owe you guys...

A hell of a lot of posts....

"So, you got the money?"..."Yep, you got the yayo?"

Bowe out for 4 weeks for PED's. Some boys will never learn....The good news is, we didn't even need him, and still somehow pulled out a HUGE win this week.
Take that...terrible towel!!
Knocking off the defending Superbowl Champs in OT is probably just good enough, I promise not to bitch about anything else for the rest of the season....

12 November 2009

Bad Lupe...no biscuit....

Yeah, I have been sucking at posting worse than a prom date on her 4th vodka shot...I know.

Where to even freaking start. Yanks win WS...in a few more days Greinke should be the Cy. Chiefs cut ties with LJ, which I am so happy for.....

Even tho our shitty record doesn't reflect it, our boys are growing and becoming more sound week by week. They are improving, getting better and at least losing without showing that they have taken suck to a new level.

Hmm..what else, what else...oh look...a kitty.

27 October 2009

From our own....

Jason Whitlock...usually I can't stand the man, but I do like this one...there is gonna be some serious panties in a wad, but I myself am still cracking up.

Read the article HERE.

"Gender equality has given men more access to women. This is not a good thing for fidelity. Madonna, Britney, Paris and Lil' Kim haven't helped much, either. Women are far more sexually aggressive than they used to be. They'll describe in graphic detail exactly what they'll do that your wife can't or won't, and they'll back it up by texting you a naked cell-phone pic."

Yeahhhhhh......

Why yes...

he is an idiot...

Larry Johnson.

Yes, I spent the last quarter of the Giants game praying Eli would throw a pick so the D could get back out there. Thank god bye weeks are almost over for me and I can get some of my better guys back in there. Sigh

WHO-WHY

I kinda totally forgot about Who-Why for a bit now...

So, ladies and gents, without further ado, here is your Friday Who-Why:
WHO
TONY REALI....

WHY?? Well, isn't that one obvious, Johnny? Hot...hot...and more hot. The reason I rush home to make PTI over my lunch break. Did, I say hot...and smart? Yeahh....

I'm usually....

not much on the adds that most professional teams use these days, but I did like this one for Military Appreciation day for the Chiefs. Can be watched HERE.

Chargers this week, and although they are fresh off the loss to the 'Donks and we are riding our big fat W still, I am not sure we get the win. To our advantage, although a sucky advantage, RB LaDainian Tomlinson, FB Jacob Hester, WR Buster Davis and LB Jyles Tucker all missed practice this week with the Flu. Even worse, if they travel with the team and still sick, stuck in an airplane breathing on each other could be really ick. I am worried about SD's pass rush with the struggles 7 has had and our atrocious O line, but if he can connect with Bowe a few times, and LJ can run not only into the back of our line, but get some breaks I say we have a chance. Our Corners are mismatched with WR's but I expect Flowers to get lofty.

And the real question...
Will coach Screamy McScreamerson's arms come uncrossed yet again this week?

21 October 2009

OMG Zack Greinke

SN AL Pitcher of the Year....which loosely translates into he should be the CY. All you need to know HERE.

Way to go Z!!

I still can't adjust to this....

Even though, I have to be proud of how he is fitting into the Donkey's D. Went out of the game Monday, but returned. As much neg shit as the AFC West got for being a shitty conf, and as MUCH as I hate to say it, I love that Denver is undefeated. Other than my Chefs, I am a true positional player cheerleader, and my love for the X factor is well documented, but now the Donks have Knowshon Moreno since I have adored since UGA and always liked Correll Buckhalter with the Eagles when he could stay healthy. In PHI, there were only really 2 big "you can count on the HUGE plays" kinda guys on D, IMO. Although, I think the Dawk is the greatest Safety to roam the earth, I think why the Denver D is so good so far is, they are spreading those huge plays around. Every time you turn around someone is making a big play, or an important one, not just the same player. I hate to say it, but in C Bailey and A Goodman, they could have the most legit 1-2 punch at corner, and their secondary sure ain't nothing to balk at. Okay, enough of my crushing on BD, you guys will start thinking I'm a Bronco backer or some shit. In closing argument...Dawkins is the man who has successfully rocked ugly fucking throwbacks for teams and still remained awesome in them.
Exhibit A

Piss yellow, shit brown with those god awful bumblebee socks...yeahhh.

Exhibit B

Nothing says "tough" like powder blue and fairy yellow. GO TEAM!

20 October 2009

Bye Weeks....

screw me every time!!

No more Mrs. Undefeated here....
I took losses in both leagues I was undef in. One I am still points leader in, and still have the best record, other I slipped to third, tied with records and down in points....
I gotta say I do this every year, draft a team I am satisfied with and think will be good...they come out well (even have McNabb in one of them and worked around early injury) and then the byes come into play. Grrrr.

Cry no more...

sad Chiefs fan, for Coach Screamy McScreamerson is here to save us. Okay, so we won't go that far, but shit...at least his arms came uncrossed for the end of the game.

Chiefs with the W. I like with the safety on the end it almost looks like we scored 2TD's instead of depending on Succup for all our scores. I wonder how many asses got chewed for dumping the water cooler on him. There is really not a lot to say about the game, it was kinda like watching two kids play Rock'em Sock'em Robots. It wasn't a great win, but could be monumental for us...gives us something to be happy about at least.

Although, he should be in a jolly mood I see that Tank Tyler felt his "one bad game and your our" wrath today and was traded for draft pick. I get it, fits in to the out with the old in with the new that Haley is bringing. Just sad to see all these guys who carried us through the terrible times get picked off one by one.

Got a little choked up when Stairs got in the box last night, thinking about Game 4 of last year, but even though my old Royal didn't come through Rollins banged the walk-off. Yanks head to LA now. God, I really hate the Angels and I really hate the Yankees. I can't even say I want anyone to win. Sad.

16 October 2009

Go...

Vote for your favorite mascot HERE. Yes, I know it's janky. I like silly shit as such.

Also, CHECK this shit out. Is there a better job out there for Lupe? I think not.

'Skins in they hood this weekend. They are pretty damn unpredictable and we do have the fact that they gave up first wins to Detroit and Carolina, and that Zorn is their coach. I have my ugh about Haley at times, but Zorn much makes me go WTF is this guy doing. BUT. Today Haley replaces WR coach. Remeber, this is the coach spouting his "22 guys off the street" BS at the start of the season. He is in over his head, and now I feel acting straight on desperation. Either way, I feel like the Skins game is make or break for us. If we let them generate some god damn offense against us, and we lose, I see us going win less. I know I know...but it could happen folks.

Imma show my age here. But, hopefully some other ageful fuckers can appreciate. When I was a kid we had channels 4.5.9.41.and 62 (on a non cloudy or rainy day) so, I grew up listening to a LOT of baseball on the radio. My pops and I would set out on the porch of our house and listen to weekend afternoon games all the time growing up, yelling at my brother when he moved the wrong way and knocked our AM radio signal out of whack with his free-throw practices. Honestly still, I love hearing Denny Matthews voice when I am stuck in a car during a game, its just something I can not explain. I have tried to pass this to my kiddo as well, and being the awesome sports junkie she will ask to listen to the game over the radio most of the time. I wish I could put my finger on why, but that good announcer play by that makes a crucial play come alive in your mind...well it gives me the good kind of goosebumps. So, last night I did the unthinkable. Turned the TV off. Grabbed a beer, and listened to the Phillies win their game on the good ole AM radio. Still got that chill when Ramirez hit the knock and felt the excitement when Lidge came in...

I think there are things you learn from your parents you def hold dear for your entire life.

15 October 2009

Just another week....

in fantasy, but yet I am still 5-0 in two of my 3 leagues. This makes me happy as hell, as I caught some slack for some of my early draft picks. My motley crew seems to be doing okay. Fantasy is a good mix of luck and skill, I think that is why I like playing so damn much. Anyone who says there isn't luck involved didn't pick up Austin off the waivers and start him last week.

"Football is easy if you're crazy as hell"- Bo Jackson

Hmm...maybe that's it.

Oww

13 October 2009

So yeah...

About that 20 whatever points I forecasted, lets scratch that.

It wasn't pretty at all but it was better. I am okay with better. Here is the question I pose to you. WHY didn't Haley go for 2 at the end? We are a 0-4 team, and have the chance for the win. RICHES AND GLORY RICHES AND GLORY.....

09 October 2009

Please send PrepH...

cause I know my ass is gonna ache over the Chiefs this week. I don't have near enough time to cover everything that is going wrong this season, but yeah...I think Pioli is in waaaaahhhhy over his head, and dear ole coach is havin kinda a rough time pulling OC and coaching duties. Lupe predicts the freaking 'Boys put a good 28 points up on us Sunday. Ughhhh.

Tailgate and game was a damn good time....don't let drunk people take your "mascot love" pics tho, they cut the heads off...Lots of beer, and wodka was consumed, grub was grilled perfectly, washers and football was played, and I even had a damn good tackle. I still got some wheels for a ole lady!

Little kid soccer only has 2 more games, thank god. Nothing like watching kids stand around cause they are so cold they don't want to play...and your freezing your ass off watching it.

I'm a fantasy pimp this year, still undefeated in 2 of the 3 leagues....but I have a bad feeling that is gonna end in at least one of those leagues this week. Say a prayer to fantasy Jesus for me.

Los Royales season complete. I promise I will get to a rundown on that soon. Still hoping for a Greinke Cy. He didn't look great in his last outing, but still....he is a solid choice. Keep fingers crossed.

There are just too many sports going on right now. I feel like I have baseball, football, hockey ADD. Flyers looked like shit against Crosby and his butt buddy Malkin....Phils are gonna win the whole thing all over again. I am trying so hard to still love baseball and be interested but....yeah but....

Hopefully will have some exciting news for you all after the weekend....

02 October 2009

I suck...

at blogging apparently. Just a lot going on.

So much to say. Chiefs...ugh....Greinke OMG!!

I just felt the need to put a post up for this month, and hopefully I will get off my ass and find time to write.

Plus GOING to the game on Sunday and tailgating with Whore. Sure there will be some blog worthy happenings then.

31 August 2009

The total is now 6....

complete games for OMG Zack Greinke...Sunday, the boy was en fuego giving up only one hit... Greinke gets to boast with three shutouts and six complete games now, his 2.32 ERA is best in the American League...last night he walked one and struck out five in the best low-hit game of his career. Can we say 2009 Cy Young? I thought I wanted to talk 'bout Gordon...yeah I don't. If you could see me you'd see me shaking my head.

On the flip, season is almost over. We might end it at .400. Maybe. Can we get a break? At least we had Greinke to bring some brightness to the season. I think there is some saying about rebuilding and this and that and next year.....there are 32 games before I want to hear that shit.

BIG SIGH...now...time to address Todd Haley. And maybe his sanity. I don't even remember what I wrote last about the Chiefs. I am fairly sure it was before any of this preseason debacle stuff....

So first....Chan Gailey, OUT. Todd Haley filling his spot. People are acting shocked and appalled. Cause and effect. He was retained not someone Haley brought in. His playbook was written in blue crayola on a Big Chief tablet people...We have able arms (2 exactly, and I ain't talking about that dickweed Croyle) and people who can catch the ball....in preseason we score 2 offensive TD's in three games....and then our line lets the "big investment" go down.....pretty easy to see why he was let go. But here comes that sanity part I eluded to previously. You, sir are a first year coach, who has already been questioned (at least method wise) by the media...there is a huge weight on you to improve this team, and letting O cord go with no backup saying you will fill the position as well as you know...those head coach duties is maybe a little big in the britches. Shit, what do I know....I soon might be wearing a SuperHaley shirt and eating my words. I hope so.

Worried about Flowers....have not heard extent of his shoulder because the Cassel knee is overshadowing...but I must say I am more than pleased with our defensive play....everyone talking about how worried we were to change up the scheme, but it seems everyone is kinda fitting in and I am damn excited about Jackson. At least our D can score....

And now the part that makes me all woohooo....we have the components, and honestly what I think is a good start. The best part though....our division. After looking at Denver and the Raiders, well I could see us getting a few wins, and maybe just maybe making the playoffs. I know you think it is crazy talk....but I think I am on to something here.

Lupe over and out.

14 August 2009

It's that time....

school is starting, fall sports practices...general running around like chickens with heads cut off. Oh yeah...and FOOTBALL!!

First, Royals are gonna get top billing. Gordon is starting to look like my favorite boy again and swinging the bat well. He is getting it back! We split with the Twins this series, and now head to Detroit. Pitchers are pitching decent and getting needed run support. Ready for a few home games, cause always love taking the kiddo to catch one or two as the summer winds down.

Chiefs finish training camp, and I am excited to see Toomer come to KC. Will give Bowe some competition and maybe make the kid step up. Hilarious article on some #27 trash talk HERE. More than anything I am just ready for football.

First fantasy draft on Sunday and I am sooo ready. I am playing in three leagues this year...I wonder if my head will spin and fly off actually trying to keep track of all my players and stats.

And lastly....Vick...to the Eagles. While it was surprising to me, it makes sense. He is a McNabb style guy, and with Kolb's uncertainty I would say better to bring in someone who has played in the league even though I am not a huge Vick fan. He brings a lot of options to the O in Philly...even if he is used elsewhere besides QB. The questions will arise of how has he kept in shape and form and has he slowed-lost agility...but you can bet your buttons I will watch and find out. I think the guy committed heinous crimes...yes. He did his time, and should be given a chance to play just like other players before him that have had problems and served their suspensions. If nothing else, they can use him as a second option...run wildcat and do some change up to keep some of those NFC D coordinators on their toes....I think it will be a cluster fuck, specially the first time any PETA protesters try to take their asses to the Link.

10 August 2009

eww.....

someone has been letting the blogging slip...

just wanted to mention I am still alive, and VIVA LA FOOTBALL!!

Royals...(insert head shaking) oh forlorn Royals....at least Zackiepooh was able to get a W to break his ugly little no run support streak....and that is all I got for the Royals.

We finally sign Jackson, and first Chiefs game is right around the corner. I am anxious as hell to see what our new guys put together. Can't be any worse, right?

22 July 2009

Random thoughts...

I could discuss the double loss by the Royals, but nahhhh..... although it sucks TWICE as bad when you lose twice in one night.

Random facts I learned today.

Adam Vinatieri and Evel Knievel were cousins.

The chick who plays Sweet D and the guy who plays Mac on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are married in real life.

And rumor mill of the day is saying now that J-simpson and Romo the Homo have parted ways, she met Tim Tebow at the ESPY's and is all up on that now. Interesting.

21 July 2009

Sometimes you win....

sometimes you lose, and sometimes it rains....think about it.

Royals rained out yesterday, double header today....Ponson gets a turn first and then Chen. Chen is freaking due, hopefully if nothing else we can go 1-1. Even more fun is figuring out where Skip might place everyone today. More on that HERE. Injuries have not been our friend this season.....
11 and a half games back...I feel a streak coming on. Hope it is the winning kind not the losing.

Phils are hot as fuck right now. I am following this Halliday thing more closely now, as I just have a feeling he is gonna be the newest addition to their arsenal.

And I thought NOTHING good ever came about from reality TV. Leave it to that wacky Irvin.

THIS aired last night, and I hate to admit but I had to DVR it jus to see. I love to hate the man...

20 July 2009

The Heartbreak Kids....

I really and truly hoped that we could come back from the All-Star break with a renewed sense of hope. Half the season done, and we have a chance to still be a .500 ball club. Greinke is still shining, and some new acquisitions have made some positive shifts, and now A. Gord back on the field.

Wrong again, toots, wrong again.

Drop our first series after the break, but not only lose, we made it a freaking art form. Leading late in games with leads, our pen just can NOT get it done. We are making errors and no matter how well we are hitting, our late pitching and infield ball handling are killing us. Game recaps HERE.
Meche and the dreaded back spasms again have brought Ponson up. Ponson is one of those guys you never know what your gonna get.

Hall of Fame opened Friday night, and I missed it, but wanted to share THIS tribute video. Great coach, great man....Angels in town for a home stand. I hope we can get it together a lil bit more. Can't wait till Gordon starts swinging the bat well again.

In other news, Vick finally released today....ready to hear some speculation as to who might be interested in him. There are some definite teams who could use him. I think the man has served his time, reinstate the guy.....

Naked Erin Andrews has been all over the net this morning. I think it sucks she got her privacy jenkied, if that is truly what happened. Sporty 14 year old boys across the country probably have starched tube socks and sore wrists today. Had it been Bonnie B, I would have been first in line to download it! :)

16 July 2009

Pokin my head in....

Just to throw THIS up. So, we decide to pay the proven bench warmer now, rather than later. I don't understand it, but I guess there could have been some pressure from Cassel's agent for the deal. We have the money now, but we would have had it later, and honestly if Cassel could go out and prove himself for a year, he would have pocketed a bigger deal I am fairly sure. Is a gamble. Pay him now and keep your fingers crossed I guess.

I really hope he can step up and prove all the critics wrong.

Sorry for the lack of posting...All-Star breakdown and Winter Classic updates are owed, I promise.

08 July 2009

Welcome Farney!!

R's pick up Ryan Freel and waste NO time putting him into action last night for our clusterfuck loss.
Fast and acrobatic, hopefully he can fill some of the spots we got due to injuries, you know...like half our team. But most notably...Freel is nuts. Hey, we straightened Greinke out, so maybe there is hope. We are like the psyche ward of the MLB. Why..do I say Freel could be a lil off his rocker?

Meet Farney...Freel gained some notoriety in August of 2006 when The Dayton Daily News reported that Freel talks to an imaginary voice in his head named Farney. Said Freel: "He's a little guy who lives in my head who talks to me and I talk to him. That little midget in my head said, 'That was a great catch, Ryan,' I said, 'Hey, Farney, I don't know if that was you who really caught that ball, but that was pretty good if it was.' Everybody thinks I talk to myself, so I tell 'em I'm talking to Farney." Freel later said that Farney's name arose from a conversation with Reds trainer Mark Mann: "He actually made a comment like, 'How are the voices in your head?' We'd play around and finally this year he said, 'What's the guy's name?' I said, 'Let's call him Farney.' So now every body's like, 'Run, Farney, run' or 'Let Farney hit today. You're not hitting very well.'" So...um...Yeeeeeahhhhh..... (makes finger around ear circle coo-coo motion)

Chen pitched ugly last night and even though our bats were there, him giving up some serious bombs makes up come up short. Verlander is always tough on us, and so I think we hit good, just got out hit. Greinke up tonight. I'm ready to see something absolutely dynamic out of him again!

06 July 2009

First off, a lil side by side fun....inspired by my cartoon watching ass and the fact I got to see Skip Lou come out of the dugout this weekend...

I have been watching a lot of round ball, I just have not been emoting it to you all. Sorry...yeah, I know I suck.

Royals...well...we seem to be on a roller coaster ride. BUT, OMG ZACK GREINKE...our own lil All-Star treasure. Also with his schedule, he should be the starting pitcher...EXCITING!!

30 June 2009

Slacky McSlackerson.....

I know I know...have been slacking. With good reason. Those reasons are too much darts, beer and other obvious distractions.

Excited to see Mauer hit tonight. Loving that a catcher is almost batting .400 but in the same breath, I hope Banny can shut him down.

I'm not recapping, but some of our boys were swingin good last night, and we get the W, and are on a 2 game streak....keep it goin, guys!!

Insert Hockey and NBA draft coverage (blah blah blah).

Is it time for NFL YET, woosa!

25 June 2009

It was...

a severe clusterfuck, that ended well....We pull the W in extra innings. No time to give you a Lupe recap, read the rundown HERE. Soria blows, we bounce it off the wall and Farnsworth gets hurt....

Banny pitching, and listening to the game now. I am got my fingers crossed for a sweep!

24 June 2009

And momma cooked a breakfast....

with no hog.... (insert head bobbing here)

I must say I am excited about this week of inters.....Greinke got it right last night, throws 8 with no walks and whiffs 5. I was more excited though to see him bat. Kid loves to hit, and would have been stellar to see him hit one out. Soria comes on and gets the W. Please god let this be a sign we are gonna start bringing it all together. If nothing else, at least we get to play Pitt end of week, and well...they suck as bad as us.

Crisp out for the season. I can't say I am too sad about this. Mitchie M should prob take his place, although they can always stick Bill Pecota, I uh mean Bloomquist out there. I hope that Maier gets a chance.

Let's see....Chiefs sign some kicker from like the last round of the draft. Not sure that is very newsworthy, but they are retiring DT's number which is pretty sweet. Read about that HERE. Less than a week before they will be reporting to River Falls. I am sure it is premature, but I am getting really excited for the season already. I know its going to be a tough row to hoe, new QB, new D but really this is the first time we have been given something new to try, for awhile. I just hope it works.

NBA Draft tomorrow. Is there ANY chance Griffin doesn't go first pick? Even tho I despise the NBA, I am still gonna have to watch to see how some of my fave college guys do.

Can I say how much I hate running home on lunch to see that tennis is on. Thank god there is more than one ESPN and it was showing Sportscenter.

23 June 2009

Feckin Iggles.....

This post is late, but better late than never...

7 Time pro-bowler...the first player in NFL history to record a sack, interception, forced fumble, and a touchdown reception IN A SINGLE GAME. I don't think many guys hit harder than Dawkins....I have adored his play for so long, and now I have to say I can no longer cheer for him as a FUCKING BRONCO.

So, Heckert decides to not actually extend McNabb's contract, but just throw more money over to him. Like oh...5.3 million. Everyone knows I am not a fan of McNabb so I won't even start on that, but to see a guy like Dawkins play his whole career with the Iggles to see him go to Denver to let it die, kills me. They let Dawkins walk, free agent Buckhalter (who I know is a gamble but did well last season in Westbrook's absence) and don't even get me started on Brown.

This is me making the imaginary fuck off sign to Heckert. I WILL NOT cheer for the Broncos. I WILL NOT.

Ugh, really?

I was disgusted enough I couldn't bring myself to post yesterday. Not only did the Royals need a day off but so did I. Just when we were starting to pull it together somewhat, we drop our last 5 and not even closely. Pujols put on a fucking hitting clinic this weekend, even banging one like 4change to hit the new Hall of Fame building. More interleague this week with Astros and then the Buckos. Greinke pitching tonight...please can we have a few games where something doesn't blow up, and we maybe have a few hits? Jobu, if your listening, bitch I got some rum.

I must be irritated today not just over the slide we are on, but general sports shit all together. If I hear ONE MORE THING about Favre I might go postal. We all know he is going to be a Viking. SO STFU about it already, announce it and let some fools spend bucks on a jersey they gonna wear for 4 games till he rides the bench from throwing a record number of picks.

That's all your getting today...my ass is too distracted.

19 June 2009

Welcome to the Bad Boy's Club....

Donte...read it all HERE. Commis speaks out, yet the Browns have yet to release him or much press.

Don't worry, your seat is right over there under the sign that says "Future Property of Al Davis".

Interleague shminnerleague...

Royals drop the series to Az with another ass scorching 12-5 loss....ugh. We still have a few inters left and remember, we went 13-5 in interleague games last year.

I want to talk about a word. That word is defined HERE. Consistency. I think that is the biggest prob the Royals have right now. Hoch, when you pitch an 80 pitch full game, and follow with 81 pitches in the 4th on your next outing, there is something missing. The consistency we have had this season is errors and bull pen pitching that blows ass. Last night we give up 2 homers from the pen and 2 wild pitch homers, and commit 3 errors. No matter how we hit, if we are giving those runs away it won't matter. People can say injuries of three of our players has something to do with it....although I am sure it doesn't help, I think it is about time to just start owning up. We have less experienced players on the field and when that happens, the streaks are going to happen. It is a roll with the punches kinda time for Royals fans right now. Bullpen, pull your head out your ass for god's sakes!

I-70 series this weekend, with Friday and Sat sold out. HERE are some interesting numbers on the ammt of asses people are dragging out to see the boys....The real question I want answered is will Davies shave the beard now that its summa and it would be making him sweat like a fat girl writing her first love letter?

Manny eligible to return July 3. Sosa's name leaked on the 'roids list. I would have more to say about it if I cared. I will try and act surprised. A little baby daddy drama for Dirk for Father's Day, HERE. And speaking of daddies, Brady apparently "completed" a lil something in the off season, HERE. I think Bernard Polard is a shoe-in for the godparent, don't you?

Zack ackkkkkkk akkkkkkk akkkkkk.....

First, let's get THIS out of the way, proving I truly am NOT the worst sports better in the world. (Thank god no one knew about those bets I laid on that Notre Dame game last year...)

Royals have been on the up and up other than a rather crappy showing by Greinke last night, with us dropping a 12-5 loss to Az. Thus ending a 4 game streak we had going.....ack! The good news is we are swinging our bats now, and pitching is coming around. Our starters are getting full game wins with decent pitch counts and keeping what has been a fairly stinky bullpen out of the mix. We are still committing WAYYY too many errors and leaving men stranded, which is no bueno, but it is improving over that rough ride we had been on the last few weeks.

Skip, with his awesome facial hair, (Exhibit A) gets selected to rep the AL in the midsummer classic...fairly cool. Might be the only Royal there, but he will look damn good doing it.

Does it seem that A Gord has been gone forever to anyone else? My god, I miss you Alex. Reports are saying he has been jogging and taking grounders and hitting in practice. I last heard he is scheduled back sometime after All-Star break. It can not come soon enough. Bloomquist has officially played every position this year other than pitcher or catcher....I am ready to have some kind of normalcy back.

Hoch on the hill tonight following up that awesome 80 pitch full.....that makes me happy as he last year was a guy who would go 6 and pitch 100 balls easy. Fingers are crossed for a good outing and some hits to go along with.

Sweep Sweep Sweep!!

Boys in blue pick up the series with Cinci this weekend....much needed!! I am too lazy and behind to break it all down, but pitching looked good and we had some serious batting, for a whole recap go HERE.

Pitt wins the Stanley cup, which doesn't really much change that I think Sid the Kid is still a huge homo...

Lakers win as well, and my hatred for Kobe grows.

I think that about sums it up. Royals off, start a homestand with Ariz this week to warm up for the good ole I-70 series this weekend.

12 June 2009

FOWL BALL!!

We drop another one in the 10th last night after a ball HITS A FUCKING BIRD and the Tribe scores. To watch highlights of the ass ache, go HERE. I have decided that Farnsworth needs different glasses. That has to the the problem...maybe we can find him something a lil more like this....
Our 'pen is killing us. When we are finally swinging sticks, and have pitchers giving solid starts, relief is just no where to be found. Zack was stellar as always, he has got to be frustrated with loss and two no-dec in his last three starts, but he seems to be staying focused and putting the ball where it needs to be. Olivo homers in his third straight....everything is there, we just got to get it all together now.

11 June 2009

11K = 9-0

It is baseball equation. Also an equation that makes me damn happy... We found our bats, Callispo with his first Grand Salami in the majors, and went 4-4. Guillen and Olivo also banging the bats with authority to log multi-run homers. It was soooo needed.

I just mostly saw highlights, but damn if Meche didn't look damn good. I honestly thought he might have thrown the whole damn game from recap. Looked like the back was not an issue, and his throws had something on em, he was droppin like pitches we had seem from him in prior seasons, but the biggest was he looked at ease out there, something we have not seen from him a lot this season, specially since the beginning of May. Hopefully Greinke and crew can come out with a repeat performance tonight. It felt good to see us climb over the Tribe in standings. Now, if we can add some insult to injury.

10 June 2009

Welcome to the basement....

Royals have lost 9 of their last 10 games.....and Indians have now crapped over us in the standings. The good thing about the bottom is there is only one direction to go...

Let me tell you JUST how happy I am that we signed Cruz to a 2 yr over 2 mil contract. Man, is HE worth it. I need to give some of the finger shaking to Jamey Wright as well, but damn....last 7 day ERA 33.75. Gave up one of the most ass aching losses I have seen this season. I was watching till the 6th. We are up and about to take it to the Tribe bullpen which has been much less than stellar this year. I get up and check box score and much to my dismay find out that the only thing royal about Cruz is his ability to partner with Wright to give up 8 fucking runs after we held them scoreless in 5 innings. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? I guess what concerns me is this was a guy who's ERA was right about a buck and a half on my birthday...we gave up a 2nd round pick...and he seems to be falling off quicker than a drunk girl's prom dress.....

I covered Crow already, but in all the draft for us was kinda like that little shiny white speck on the top of a pile of chicken shit that doesn't QUITE look like it is part of the actual shit....we snatch Crow and Wil Meyers and will quite actually be able to sign both. I'm sticking with WS Champ Royals in '11. Power of positive thinking!

A lil local flavor....

Royals take Aaron Crow in the 12th round last night. Local kid who went to a high school right out of Topeka...played for Mizzou, was the Big 12 pitcher of the year in 2008, going 13-0 with a 2.35 ERA. Passover last year by the Nats and so has been pitching in some independent league.

While I understand the motive, bringing in a potentially "ready" starting pitcher, the way we are struggling now with generating hits just makes me scratch my head a tiny bit. We seem to have some decent pitching, where as the backing of the gloves behind and mostly our inability to generate runs has been our demise of late. Granted this is just NOW and if I have learned one thing from the Allan Baird era, you gotta look to the future sometimes as well.

Let's all welcome the new boy in blue...

09 June 2009

Happy Birthday, Philly....

Now, that we got THAT out of the way.... Naw, seriously, Happy Birthday...I know your celebrating right!

Royals...oh forlorn Royals. Where do I even begin? I have been slacking, and we did have one W in the mix to break up our losing streak...one. Let's focus on the positives. We can still vote for some boys in blue to get to the ASG? HERE. Teahen is starting to swing the bat decently again, somewhat? The draft is today? Okay, so much for the positives. WAIT...we aren't LAST in our division yet. Ding Ding...what do we have for her, Johnny??

Chiefs..YEAH..let's talk about the Chiefs!! Mini camp done and they are doing the team activities now...more on that HERE.

There are still some basketball and hockey going on. This is me making the face pretending to care. My pics are the Lakers and Wings....as if anyone is surprised. I only want the Wings to win, in hopes K-el shares her winner beer with me.

I have been following the Favre-Vikings crap here of late, even though I am just so over him. I think that it ticks me off the most is he is still somehow whining and crying and getting media attention, with his sideshow antics...I have lost all respect for the man, and just wish he could have stayed retired the first time and let himself be upheld as one of the good in the game, not to be known as the guy who just didn't know when to give it up. At this point, I just say they let JD Booty have a shot. Only cause I want a jersey that says BOOTY on the back. Giggle.

So, day of rest for my Royals and Banny pitching today. If there every was a time for them to regroup and come together it is now. Pick up the pace and take it into All-Star break with some wins...Tribe is in the basement....time to let us climb up a little bit.

LET'S GO ROYYYALS!!

05 June 2009

Mannnnnn....

Fuck Kobe. Yeah, I said it. And why we are at it....Fuck BJ Upton.
Nothing like facing a guy hitting like .200 with only 2 yards so far and letting him drop the 2 run go ahead on ya. How ya feeling Jamey Wright? Thanks for being the lead for the 7th straight drop. MY GODDDDDD when will it END. My ass is too sore to take much more. Let's face it. Our bullpen with the exception of Soria is basically looking like crap, everyone is hurt-getting hurt-sore-so much it leads me to contemplate things like how much chew Mike Jacobs can actually fit in his mouth or calculating how many players have played more that 2 positions this season while watching the game instead of ACTUALLY WATCHING THE GAME.

At least Greinke pitches tonight....in another country. Maybe that is it...if we go to a whole other country we might win.
Vinatieri and Westbrook both with pre-season baby surgeries...I am having draft board dreams of late. I don't want to overshadow baseball, but damn.
There is some hockey, basketball and tennis I guess I could pretend to care about...but instead, how bout a lil side by side Lupe fun...

Its gotta be awesome to be the twinkie of one of the most recognized people in the porn industry!!

03 June 2009

My sports soul....

feels empty today. I am stuck in that lull where I am pissed off about baseball, football is too far away and every time I channel flip through everything all I see is tennis and some other shit I don't care about anyways.

Royals off Monday to come back rested and look like big diddly do-do against the Rays. WE SUCK AGAIN. No more Royals talkie talkie for today.

In other news I am trying to make myself care about, Ichiro extends hitting streak to 26, and I hear he is real big in Japan...almost as big as THIS GUY.

The BIG UNIT (he he I SAID UNIT) goes for his 300 tonight. HERE is a bite on him...

Insert playoff jerk off for NHL and NBA here...cuz I can't seem to care about them either.....

01 June 2009

Weekend hang oooover.....

So yeah, hungover sun burnt Lupe checking in. Can you really feel any other way a Royals fan right now? Unfortunately, I don't think drinking the pain away on the current situation will work. I have a strong feeling till Meche and Banny get those levels up, and we start batting and get everyone healthy, its gonna be downhill from here.

I went and saw Greinke pitch yesterday and his ball didn't seem to have the same on it...and I was really questioning some of those set-ups. The slippery slope for the Royals worsens. I as always predicted this, but really figured we would hold out for complete meltdown till AFTER the All-Star break, but what do I know...I am just a kid...with a dream. Oh look....a gator!! The Trey Hilman-Dayton Moore bashing should be up to par in a few days. Sorry folks, not buying. I know Baird left a bad taste in your mouth, but from what I see, Moore is really trying to secure a good underclass and help us with some free agency. He is a build it from the foundation up kinda guy and that is what he is doing. It ain't gonna happen overnight, for you fly by night kinda fans. Sit back, buy your Greinke in '11 shirts and enjoy the fucking ride. Success has to be built...and we are on the right track, even though the track feels bumpy as fuck. If we win .500, and Butler and Gordon come on, we have had a successful year.

Hate that Bron is getting raked in the media for his actions at the conclusion of the series....so he didn't give interviews, so what? He steps up for almost everything. Sometimes we just forget athletes are humans that have feeling and emotion just like everyone else. Yes, they have a talent which makes them amazing at something we all aren't, but it doesn't make them have any right or debt to society....they are simply creatures like us all. Give the man a break, he has been carrying that fucking team ALL season long in one way or another.

It is way too early in the baseball season to already be thinking how long it is till football starts.

Time to go aloe the sunburn and drink some damn water. I never understood how your so hungover, when a hangover is mostly dehydration....and beer is mostly contrived of water? It just doesn't make any sense to my simpleton mind!

29 May 2009

Never bet....

with a one armed black man, who is shooting darts.....Ugh. I really though Magic were gonna win even though I wanted Bron Bron to pull it off. And he did, and I lost a bet. I really gotta start going with my gut. Roller coaster of a game, and I liked that Bron only had like something 17 points? The rest of the boys are starting to step up, which is good cause I'm sure King James' shoulders were getting a little tired... I don't see any way the Cavs win this series, but god damn would it make me happy if they did.

My productivity is low, and I blame this substance known as Jager. I am fairly sure they bottle Hitler's sweat in hell and that is what is in that green bottle. Whooo.

Home girl wins the National spelling bee....more on that HERE.

Feel-good story of the day for my boys in blue HERE.

Banny pitching today, and I have a good vibe for them starting out with him and ending the series with Zack. Struggling Meche in the middle, but he is up against Buehrle, so hopefully his ass is still stinging from that Pirates game. Shameless plug for my fave Pirates boy HERE.

HERE is a good Friday ender. Laugh it up. I love the Brett out the dugout like a pissed off chicken, although I have always loved Piniella.

Happy weekend, Bitches!!
